“Environment protection" - an urgent task for today and future. The re-use of secondary raw material is a necessary, responsible and economical task for the whole society. It is a good step in the right direction, saving environment and primary resources.
Metal waste from industrial production returns back to the raw material cycle and acquires a value.
The REMET company purchases and processes metal waste to produce secondary raw material upon the approval issued by the Environment Department of the South Moravian Local Government on August 16, 2007. According to Act no. 185/2001 Coll., on waste and on amendment to some other laws, metal waste is purchased, sorted, processed in the mechanical and pyrometallurgical way and sold for further use.
The environment care consists in water and air protection.
The eventual underground water pollution was prevented on the production premises as early as in 1995 when the production, warehouse and manipulation areas were made waterproof and the water drained to a pre-cleaning equipment and demulsification plant. Being checked for pollution the water is discharged to a sewage system in compliance with valid regulations. The discharged water quality is checked and analyzed by Brno municipal authorities on a regular basis.
The Remet company runs two medium and one large air pollution sources.
The gas boiler house and filling station are ranked as medium air pollution sources; the aluminium smelting plant including the drying plant is a large air pollution source. All air pollution sources are operated in compliance with Act no. 86/2002 Coll., on air protection. Emission measurements are performed in the required extent at all sources to find out if the limits are not exceeded. One of the latest and environment-friendly low-emission technologies has been applied in the aluminium smelting plant in collaboration with the AIRPRODUCT company.
The Environment Management System certifying process according to ÈSN ISO 14001:2005 was successfully completed in 2007.
The above mentioned facts confirm the REMET company pays great attention to protection of all environment elements and spends large sums on measures minimizing negative influences on the environment.
